L'auberge est dans la moyenne, mais le propriétaire est vraiment spécial. Jamais un sourire, un bonjour, un merci, un au-revoir...du coup on n'ose pas lui demander des informations. L'autre point noir c'est le staff, uniquement de jeunes étrangers volontaires"

This hostel is chilled, kicked back with a friendly vibe and helpful staff that go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. Special thanks to John the owner and to Lauren for all their help. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a more relaxed approach to your time in Santiago.

Castillo Surfista Hostel
Nice and cozy hostel in a good, safe location of Santiago. Close to the beautiful Barrio Italia, the city center and to Bella Vista Neighborhood to go out at night.Breakfast was included, the rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. They had a lot of events going on during the evenings which was a fun way to connect to other travellers. I recommend staying there!

O hostel fica no melhor bairro de Santiago que é a Providência. Ele fica meio afastado da avenida principal, mas em cerca de 10 quadras tem estação do metrô. O café da manhã é bom com destaque aos waffles. Os donos são americanos então se vc não fala nada de inglês, certifique se que tenha algum atendente que fale espanhol ou que você fale um bom espanhol. O cão Duke é uma graça e costuma se fazer churrascos a noite pra galera interagir. Chuveiro bom e cama boa. Não tem ar condicionado no quarto de 6 pessoas, mas a noite em Santiago é bem fresca. Indico.

Very nice hostel. Great staff, and quite comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchens were all adequate and the vibe is second to none. Group events and good recommendations made it memorable. We had BBQs and played Cards against humanity, and had free wine night. Location was nice, a quick walk to many attractions but not on the main drag. They offer a discount for direct bookings. Best of all was Duke, the owner's dog who is a true bro.

Had an absolute fantastic experience at Castillo Surfista.The staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly and really make you feel like you're at home!There's various rooms for you to relax in, including a TV room (with selection of movies) a PC room and well equipped kitchen.They also provide you with a map and great tips on how to enjoy the city.The breakfast is a little small but SOOO nice with a great choice of food and hot drinks.Worth every penny in my opinion!

Castillo Surfista Hostel
Lovely hostel conveniently located in a nice and safe neighborhood within walking distance from most tourist attractions. The hostel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they organise many events for guests. There was always something going on at the hostel and it is a great place to meet other travellers in a relaxed atmosphere, especially during the weekly BBQs on the patio (Thanks for the free wine!!!). I really enjoyed my stay here and I can definitely recommend this hostel!
