Just got a cut today and am so happy with it! The ambiance of the place is calm and inviting and the staff are excellent. My hair came out perfectly and just as I wanted. I had a great chat with Ellie who did my hair and was offered a tea before she started the cut- always a bonus!Great place, great service- highly recommend!!

I have been going to Selina for 4 maybe longer years now - she always nails it when it comes to my colour and cut , she’s fantastic with blondes which can be tricky and I always love my cut and blow dries .She is a genuinely warm friendly and professional person and the atmosphere in the salon is light and relaxing .

Selina from Charlie Bean has been doing my hair for 4 years now. Her cut, colour and blow dry is amazing. All the staff are lovely and professional. Highly recommend!

I couldn't recommend this place enough! Never had a bad experience and always looked after. Never tried to upsell me something frivolous, the recommendations were always from something that I legitimately needed for the results I wanted.When I had a cosplay event in the city, they looked after me and wasn't judgemental at all and even helped me with applying my temporary face tattoos. You know a salon is proud of their work when they ask if they can take before and after pictures.

Selina did such amazing hairstyles for my wedding on myself and my bridesmaids. She also did a very beautiful job for my 2 other sisters when they got married to. She was always so lovely and professional in making our dream a reality. Highly recommend.

I had a lovely time at Charlie bean salon!Selina was lovely to chat to and did a great job advising pre care and after care for my scalp and hair type.I left the salon feeling like a new person!

This salon butchered my hairSee pictures below:I went into Charlie bean for a cut. I needed about an inch taken off so my hair was the same length as a hair piece. The stylist not only cut my hair a few inches shorter than the hair piece id asked her to match it to, but the cut was jagged & uneven. There were strands that were not even cut & left hanging.I did not realise how uneven it was until I had numerous people ask me that evening what had happened to my hair & why it was so uneven. The next morning I straightened it & saw how uneven the hair was.When I contacted Selena she stated that because my hair was curly the cut would never be straight. I sent her photos & she has not acknowledged how unacceptable this cut is. She did offer for me to go back & she would try & fix it. Obviously I would not be crazy enough to go back to this place & let them re butcher my hair so I asked for a refund so I could get it remedied elsewhere. Ive had no response to this.The next day i went to another salon.The other salon was horrified with the cut & said it was so crooked and different lengths from one side of my head to the next & it had been cut in an angle that left my hair looking frayed.Thankfully this other salon did a great job trying to salvage the mess made by Charlie bean. The stylist took the following photos to show me exactly how uneven & unprofessional the cut was.Do not go to this salon if you care about what your hair looks like as you could end up with a cut like this!These photos were taken by a different salon 2 days after my hair cut at Charlie bean to show how they had butchered my hair.The first photo is of the back of my hair & you can clearly see a difference in length on each half of my head.The second & third photos shows how jaggard the cut was & several groups of strands left completely untouched with some strands nearly 3 inches longer than the rest of the cut.Honestly I think a preschooler could have done a better job.No apology or acknowledgement from Charlie bean despite sending them these pics.Do not trust this business.I believe the stylists name was Ellie.

Selina knows her blondes!!! I’ve been going to Selina for years to get my blonde highlights and she nails it every single time! I love her styling artistry too. Whenever I have an event, she created magic and adore her designs...I get many flattering comments. Always lovely to get! Selina’s new salon at Charlie Bean is beautiful. Love to decor and attention to detail...down to the chocolate biscuit with my coffee. Luxury all round.

I can HIGHLY recommend this salon, Selina is the most professional, experienced and dedicated hair stylist I think I've ever met! Her blow drys are a game changer and I love the way she does her foils with such precision! She is incredibly particular so of course, it shows through in her craft... Wonderfully comfortable and stylish salon.

Selina is an outstanding hairdresser and highly talented in colour and cutting. Her manner is friendly, inviting and always ensures your happy and that your hair is healthy. I too love the hair products Charlie Bean Salon use.
