Laguna Cerro Castillo Trailhead Parking

This hike is a sham. Incredibly rude owners of this private farm, which is the only access point to this hike and the National Park. Gross mismanagement of a public wonder such as Cerro Castillo that was very frustrating. 10,000 CLP per person to hike, which is a complete exploitation of tourists. I would skip this day-hike.

1st. The parking and start of the Laguna Cerro Castillo is not here but 4.7km further down the road. 2nd the prices are insane 18.000 for foreigners and 14.000 for Chilean this all because the land around the national park is privately owned. Besides there are not a lot of buses coming and going from villa Castillo but that does not matter if you have your own car. I don't recommend the walk as it is now until becomes more available/accessible.

Very expensive, way overpriced

Una vergüenza los precios.$14,000 chilenos$18,000 extranjeros(enero 2020)No me molesta pagarle a un privado por pasar por 'su sendero', pero esto llega a ser un abuso. Además, entiendo que Conaf se lleva unos $5,000 del costo total. Resulta penoso pagar TANTO por ver algo que nos pertenece a todos. Es sabido que por ley el acceso a lagos/lagunas/mar y ríos no puede impedirse ni cobrarse.Las vistas y los glaciares, sin duda muy bonitas. Ojalá que esta penosa situación cambie en el corto plazo.
