Definitely a lovely shop for clocks, and no doubt experienced and knowledgeable about clocks. We just needed a mechanism and new hands put into an existing clock, unfortunately they put silver hands on a clock with black numerals and worse - in the middle of the front side of our wooden clock, it had been badly scratched which we noticed after leaving the shop. They never owned up and I did not take a photo first (like who would) to verify the condition of the clock when taken in. Disappointed.They have since come back to me with a phone call, and an apology, and we have come to some arrangement. So credit to them. They really do care.

Jim showed me so much patience in explaining the workings, winding etc. My shakiness hadn't been helping.I think I've finally got the clock correct. Had to tweak the timing. Was losing time.

Love the work done by The Clock Shop to restore & get my old family mantel clock going. I remember it ticking, tocking & chiming at my great grandmother's home as a kid. Something it hasn't done for many years now. Restored & returned to working order. Thank you all so much.

Not only is this idiosyncratic spot marvelous, but the owner, Jim, is a true gentleman. My finance and I stopped off and we’re immediately charmed. Picked up a watch at a great deal.

Shop owner wasn't wearing a mask as required and made fun of me for wearing one as I was required too. She appears to have a negative view on the Covid safety protocols judging by the anti mask sign on the counter. I wont be going back.

Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience in this shop. While trying to buy a cuckoo clock, the lady who was assisting us (the owner, I think) decided to start giving us her incredibly strong, and abhorrent, views on some current political topics. We tried to laugh it off and divert the conversation back to the clocks she was showing us, but she continued to rant, becoming quite confrontational. We finally gave up and left when she moved on to the topic of Covid-19, explaining that she couldn't see the reason for another potential lockdown as it is only the elderly and people with disabilities" who are dying anyway. All in all

Will take in your jewelery for a quote and then no contact until a single text message 2 months later to say the work has been done but when you get there they can't find it..* Update* they will also ring you up screaming after viewing your comment here online. Miraculously find" the lost item. Make you complete payment for collection before you see the end product and when you get it home you will see they NEVER EVEN REPAIRED IT PROPERLY. Terrible experience all around. If zero stars was an option that's what they would get."

Always extremely helpful and friendly when you call to see Jim and Ann no matter whether it's a replacement battery or a new watch they're always happy to help. Free quotes before they start repairs as well.
