Eco Rutas Travel Chile - Bolivia

Drie nachten zijn we op pad geweest met deze organisator. Het was een super ervaring! We betaalden 300 dollar per persoon en als je je best doet kan je er wat van afdingen. Dat hoeft in principe niet want je krijgt ook voor 300 dollar meer dan genoeg waar voor je geld. Het eten is er in overvloed maar als vegetariër kom je niet echt aan je trekken.De plekken die je langs gaat zijn prachtig, het zijn landschappen die je op onze planeet niet makkelijk te zien krijgt. Van geisers en warmwaterbronnen tot onmetelijke zoutvlaktes. Je krijgt het allemaal voor je kiezen.Ook vertellen ze dat je 300 Boliviaanse peso’s op zak moet hebben om alle kosten in Bolivia te dekken. Dat was iets aan de ruime kant, maar als je van plan was om wat biertjes te drinken en een alcapa trui te kopen dan kreeg je die 300 Boliviaanse peso’s wel op.Let op! Ze vragen je ook om 15 Boliviaanse peso’s bij de grens te betalen zodat je de grens mag passeren. Dat hoef je niet te doen als je zegt dat je het niet wilt betalen. Het is een soort oplichters truc want als toerist durf je geen nee te zeggen.

Jimmy and his team at Eco Rutas did a fantastic job and provided a well organized and memorable experience. Food was great each day, drivers were professional, and accommodation was great. We did the 3d 2n tour ending in Uyuni, and would highly recommend.

We did the geyser and 3 days Uyuni tour with Jimmy and his team. Jimmy is very communicative during the whole tour, always makes sure everything is going good, and if you have any issue he does his best to resolve it. Both tours were very informative and well run. We had amazing breakfasts at the most beautiful sceneries.Uyuni Tour is definitely a must, its an once in a lifetime experience. The places you get to see during this tour is unbelievable. Thank you for the amazing experience Jimmy and all the guides!

The tour agency they assigned us to, Andes Travel was good, and Francisca was a great guide. We enjoyed the tour greatly.What we did not enjoy was Eco Rutas promising us that we had paid everything, including the entrance tickets upfront. When we received a message from Andes Travel asking us to bring cash for the entrance tickets, we messaged Eco Rutas to enquiry why we were being asked to do so when we had paid for the tickets already. We were told “Don’t worry, it’s ok for you, all is done” in these exact words. So we reasonably believed that it was all settled. Imagine our disbelief when we were asked to pay another 16000 CLP on the spot halfway through the tour for another set of entrance tickets which Eco Rutas had not told us about. Of course, we had no choice but to pay for entry.Be careful when dealing such agencies when they promise you that everything is settled when it is actually not.
