Hotel Casa Zañartu

Very basic experience. Bed of very limited quality.Limited Industrial breakfast.Nonetheless the hotel staff is nice and helpful.

Atención amable, entorno tranquilo ideal para conversar. Poca variedad, comida correcta pero no sobresaliente. No es barato ni tampoco prohibitivo.Sólo evaluó el restaurante, ya que no alojé en el hotel.

Lo encuentro muy apacible, me gusta el menú de almuerzo del café, me gusta más la atención de un Garzón que la de una garzona que siempre olvida todo... Pero muy bien.

Our room on the first floor was wild. Had glass double doors to the hallway and the cafe courtyard (the staff should do better making sure those exterior doors are locked). The bed had heavy fleece blankets and pillowcases (summer in Santiago) and there was a rollaway air conditioner that looked like a piece of hospital equipment. Ornate moulding, strangely arranged furniture and a tight pre-fab bathroom added to the wild ambience.Staff was friendly, breakfast was fine. They arranged excellent airport pickup/dropoff at a reasonable cost and took good care of our luggage after check out. The location was good for getting to downtown restaurants and museums.Would book here again for a night, but probably not for an extended stay...at least, not on the first floor.

Muy bien ubicado, a pocas cuadras del Palacio de la Moneda. Casa con mucha historia. El personal es muy amable y siempre dispuesto para que el huésped se sienta muy a gusto.

To sum up our experience at the hotel, I would mention unfriendly and unwelcoming staff, kitschy interior, mediocre food. No one in the hotel spoke English, nor made a slightest attempt to understand us. The breakfast which was included in the price was a mere joke: instant coffee, container of yogurt, a piece of cheapest white bread with a slice of cheese and ham, and orange juice from concentrate. We had better options in Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine! When we asked for water (there is no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee), they brought us one glass, even though there were two of us.

Rooms were cold and a small heater was definitively not enough for the room size. We thought being in the center and somewhat close to the Moneda was a good option but there is basically no good restaurants and things to do around and the surroundings look pretty unsafe. Our car was stolen a mirror the only night we parked in the street. The people at the reception desk were very nice and accommodating but the self-called manager chef was extremely rude and did not satisfy with very bad manners a simple request for a glass of milk. We will not come back for sure

Fui al café. Lo único rescatable la decoración del lugar. Comida bastante regular, poca dedicación. Pedí un sandwich, te lo bañan en una salsa que no pediste y no te ponen cubiertos. El garzón no se apareció nunca para pedir la cuenta, tuve que ir a la entrada a avisar que quería pagar.

Great hotel. The main hallway is very well decorated. The room I had was deteriorated. The hotel has charm. Not in the best neighborhood.
