Casa California Guesthouse
Wonderful, boutique hotel, which could not be in a better location for exploring Valparaiso. Jonny and Cata (The owners and hosts) have created a really unique space, that fits in perfectly with the colourful surroundings of Concepcion. The bar area is particularly cool. Our room was light, clean, and comfortable and we partially enjoyed the walk-in shower. Cata was super helpful (and speaks fluent English and Spanish), advising us where to park, providing a warm welcome, and sending us a great list of sights, recommendations, and walking routes to make sure we got the most out of our visit. Would highly recommend staying here when visiting Valpo!

Casa California Guesthouse
I just left after a 4 night stay at Johnny and Kata’s guesthouse. Their place has been completely refurbished but with an old vibe very appropriate for the neighborhood. Everything was super clean. Good conversations, simple healthy and delicious breakfasts, travel advice as needed … it was a great stay … strongly recommend. Also fluent English is spoken if needed.

Beautifully restored house with high quality everything. Cata and John have put a lot of effort and love into their guesthouse and it shows with the way it's decorated and how they welcome you. No fuss, they give you a key to the house and that's that. The room I stayed in is big and has a very high ceiling, like everywhere else in the house. The bed was super comfortable with high quality linens, and the shower was great. It's steps away from lovely cafés (go to María María for a great breakfast) and restaurants, as well as the dive bars of Av Ecuador. I think the price was very reasonable for a single person, and it is excellent for a couple.

La atención es muy, pero muy buena, ambos son amables y atentos. Las habitaciones cumplen con lo prometido. Quizás hizo falta un televisor o una radio, pero igual te invita a desconectarte un poco de ese mundo y salir a disfrutar de lo bello que es el Cerro Alegre y Valparaíso. Cabe destacar que por dentro, es súper lindo, con cuadros, espejos, todo bien decorado.

Look no further, this place is a gem. Cata and Johnny were the best hosts. The property is newly renovated, clean, quiet, and in a great location. Great breakfast and gave us great recommendations on what to see in valpa and places to eat. Would not hesitate to stay here again when we come back. Thank you both for making this such a memorable experience.
