Hostel BaseCamp CERRO CASTILLO

This has been definitely one of my favourite hostels from the past few months. Location is really quiet, the house felt like a home to all of us sharing it (even though we didn't know each other), the kitchen was well equipped, internet works really well. But by far what makes this place amazing is the host. Isabela is a wonderful soul, always ready to share, to make things work, to help you explore. The best experience a backpacker can have.

It was a home away from home, my most favourite hostel along the Carretera Austral. the beds are incredibly cozy, the kitchen is perfectly equipped, the fire place is awesome too. But most importantly, the owner Isabel made us feel very welcome. She brought wood every day and fresh eggs from her garden. She's so kind and I can't recommend this place enough. Gracias Isabel, seguro que nos veamos en el futuro!

No heating in the dorm but very warm blankets. Lovely host. Cosy living room. Nice atmosphere. Very clean.

This hostel is delightful. The owner, Isobel, was the most caring and helpful hostel owner I have ever come across. She made us feel so welcome. There is a little log burner, the kitchen is well stocked with all you’ll need, the rooms are comfortable and clean and there are fluffy socks to wear about the hostel! We would 100% recommend staying here. Gracias Basecamp Hostel.

Nous sommes tombées sous le charme de cette région magnifique, des chiliens si accueillants dont cette hôte qui a fait de notre court séjour un moment de réconfort, une belle rencontre. Elle est aux petits soins des vacanciers qui y passent et s’assurent que nous y soyons au chaud(elle nous prépare un jolie feu), confortable (les lits et douillettes !!) et propre! Merci encore!
